Well done to Graeme Steele who has been selected for the England Squad at the Senior Euronations shoot at Andover in July. ------------------ Notable Dates
12 June Reminder its the first of the 7 Clubs shoot, it is a
handicap shoot. You can obtain your handicap by shooting 3 rounds at the
club.
19 June CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
St George / Albion or equivalent rounds for juniors
Handicap shoot, shoot 3 rounds at the club anytime to
gain your handicap.
24-26 June NO ARCHERY AS CLAIRE HOUSE FUND RAISING EVENT ON THE
FIELD
------------------- CLOUT and About A good turnout of near 100 archers took part in the FITA Clout in what can only be described as difficult conditions. However the strong blustery weather did not put off the archers and some fine scores were posted. Well done to all Neston Archers that won medals and were not blown away. We are now about to commence shooting outdoors
The original booking for the hall at Pensby was up to Wednesday 30th March
We have now asked for extra dates and have booked the hall as below:
Sunday 3rd April 12 -4 ( No beginners as squad selection )
Wednesday 6 April 7-9
Sunday 10 April 12-2 only ( Beginners final review and hall
cleared and equipment to field)
After that the outdoor shooting season starts on Tuesday and Thursday evenings
and Sunday afternoon at Wirral RUFC grounds.
Parking in main car park at clubhouse.
The field will be unavailable for archery on the 1st May as the rugby will
have The Cheshire Junior Cup and Plate finals throughout the day.
Evening maybe OK to shoot
------------------- 7 Clubs 2011 The 2011 venue is at Caldy’s ground sighters 13.00 hrs ( best to arrive half hour before this to set up) on Sunday 12th June. The round will be a Western of Junior equivalent. It is a handicap shoot , no entry fee but if anyone has any raffle prizes – we need 3 from Neston, please bring them along. Food will be required after the shoot so bring some along to share. The h/c shoot means that you need a handicap from outdoor shooting. Your best 3 scores will be averaged. and h/c worked out, so get shooting a round as soon as you step outdoors. Leave score sheets in the container or e-mail the round date score name bow type to viv@infinityjunction.com

Well done to all club archers at Chester Team Event on Sunday
Recurve team came a creditable 14 place out of 31 teams and improved on last
years score by 100 points
Alison and Alan both shot well at their first tournament.
Alison came 12th out of 24 ( section included 2 Lady UK shooters) and Alan
52nd out of 81 ( again with UK archers leading the section)
Compound teams both came away with medals and trophies with Mark, Carol
Graeme and Malcolm as the overall winners and Judith Steve Jim and Helen also
winners of the Best Cheshire Team trophy.
Carol came 2nd Lady Compound and Mark and Graeme 2nd and 3rd in the Gents
